What is boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is an intimate style of portrait photography designed to celebrate confidence, sensuality, and self-expression. At Solstice Studio in San Francisco, I create empowering boudoir portraits that feel elegant, artistic, and deeply personal.

Why should I book a boudoir session?

Boudoir photography is about more than beautiful images! It’s about feeling confident, empowered, and celebrated. Many clients book sessions as wedding gifts, anniversary surprises, or simply as a way to honor themselves.

Where do your boudoir sessions take place?

Most sessions are photographed in my San Francisco at-home studio, which features gorgeous natural window light and a bed set. I also offer on-location sessions in luxury rentals, boutique hotels, and select venues in the Bay Area.

Do I have to know how to pose?

Not at all! Guiding clients through flattering poses is the primary part of my job. I’ll direct you every step of the way so you feel comfortable, natural, and confident in front of the camera.

What should I wear for a boudoir photoshoot?

The most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable. Popular choices include lingerie, silk robes, bodysuits, or even casual pieces like an oversized button-up or favorite t-shirt. I’ll send you a full outfit guide before your session.

Do you offer bridal boudoir sessions?

Yes! Bridal boudoir is one of my specialties. Many brides create a boudoir album as a wedding gift for their partner, or as a way to capture this exciting stage of life.

Do you offer albums and prints?

I offer albums, print boxes, and bound prints. Something unique to Solstice Studio is that I also offer commissioned artwork via local artist partnerships. For example, this means that if you want an oil painting of one of your images to put in your living room, I can make it happen!

How much does a boudoir session cost?

My mini boudoir sessions start at $875 and include professional guidance, a fully personalized shoot, and a selection of images. I also offer a luxe package that has access to more luxury albums and art pieces.

Do I have to order an album?

Through I recommend it, I do not require album/art purchases. That is why my session cost appears higher than some other boudoir photographers. You do not purchase your initial image package separately. Digital images are included in your session fee.

Will my boudoir photos be private?

Absolutely. Privacy is built into the experience. I never share client images without written permission, and many clients choose to keep their photos completely private!

Can I pay for my boudoir session in installments?

Yes, I offer flexible payment plans to make your session and artwork accessible. Many clients choose to spread payments over several months.

How do I book a boudoir session with you?

Booking is simple! Just fill out the contact form on this website (there’s even one below). I’ll guide you through a quick consultation call, help you choose a session type, and secure your date with a signed contract and payment.

Let’s work together.
